Name: Calum Chamberlain
Age: 15
Job: Paper-boy/GCSE student at Forest school.
Background: I have ridden mountain bikes for 5 years, and only 2 of those competitively. Although I seem to always have been going something competitive. I came from a running backgound mostly, and have competed in many 1500m races for school and county. I also did a fair amount of cross-country running, once again for school and county. I even made it onto the British talent team for my 1500m skills. I also played rugby for about 3 years, playing mainly for Redingensians (which at one point meant representing England in the junior world cup!), but occasionaly making appearances at flanker for Berkshire. Now I concentrate my time on my cycling which I could not live without. I started off on the bike riding dirt and downhill, but somehow turned to the 'dark-side' of mountain biking (XC racing), stunning my friends by saying that I enjoyed the climb in White's level (Afan Argoed) almost as much as the descent!
